Saying Goodbye

  1. rundy, we just went through this same process with my mother-in-law. We admitted her to hospice on August 14th and said our final goodbye on September 7th. She didn’t have Alzheimer’s, but was 93 and ready to move on to a better place. She had given up eating, so hard to watch and struggle to get her to even take a few drops of water or a spoon of jello. My prayers are with you, good-bye and I love you are, indeed, all we can say. And hope that we said them enough throughout life to all we love. Some die a slow death, giving loved ones left behind a chance to say good-bye. Some are taken from us so quickly, you never know when your last good-by is, so make everyone count.
