Hello everyone! I’ve had a busy summer and fall traveling. I hope in the coming weeks to get back to posting some writing here. Stick around.

In the meantime, the holiday season is upon us, and I am trying something new. We are doing a book sale–of author signed paperback copies! The books are at a discount price, and the more copies you buy the better your discount.

Would you like to get The Sea is Wide: A Memoir of Caregiving at 10%, 20%, 30% or even 40% off? Head on over to the sale page and take a look and what deal will best suit you:

When Emotions Weigh Us Down

Sadness Weighs Down

credit: Yogesh Mhatre

Emotions are powerful things. They can make us feel like we are on the highest of heights, or the deepest of depths. I have walked those paths. I have felt darkness, aloneness, and grief that rose like a monstrous wave to consume me. I have felt like a weak pathetic thing abused and tossed about by my own emotions.

If you haven’t yet, you will feel those things too. One day. Probably one day soon.

First Live Interview

Back on the 19th of August I participated in my first live interview on The Morning Drill show out of Titusville PA. As a first it went pretty well, I think. Even better, the station put the video clips for the interview up on Youtube so that I can share it with you!

I’ve gathered both parts of the interview together over on my other website:

Conclusion to Giveaway: 2,609 Copies

I hope everyone got their free copy of the kindle version of my book The Sea is Wide: A Memoir of Caregiving. The give away is now over, but if you missed your copy you can still pick up the kindle version for $2.99, or the paperback version for $14.95 right here:

All of you who did pick up your free copy, and those of you who passed along information about the give away to your friends and family–you have my thanks! Because of what everyone did, the give away was a great success. By the end of the five day period I had given away 2,609 copies. For awhile, I my book was #1 in both the (free Kindle) Memoir category and the Alzheimer’s category. This brought much more exposure to my book.

If in the process of this giveaway you had a chance to get a copy of my book and you do finish reading it, I would greatly appreciate if you left a review of the book on Amazon. Reviews help a lot. Thanks!
